Abu Dhabi: All 16,000 hotel rooms are fully booked with a 100 per cent occupancy level due to the Formula One event this weekend, a senior official from the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) said.
In its efforts to increase Abu Dhabi's tourism potential over the next few years, the ADTA has introduced new visitor centres at the race track and in shopping malls.
The ADTA also has a permanent location at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
"We have introduced significant new visitor collateral including postcards of tourist sights, cultural attractions and of traditional pursuits, a new official visitor guide, a motivational brochure and 31 fliers in seven languages devoted to a range of attractions throughout the emirate," Lawrence Franklin, ADTA's strategy and policy director, told Gulf News.
The ADTA will also conduct guided tours across Abu Dhabi to travel buyers arriving from the United States, Asia and Europe.
